Library plans children’s events

MENDOTA – The children’s department at Graves-Hume Library will be hosting several events during the month of December.

A tween program for students in grades 5-8 will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 6 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Join in this Christmas party with hot chocolate and ornament making. Sign up is required.

Shake, Rattle & Read, a story hour and playtime for children ages birth to 2 years old, with caregivers, will be held on Thursday, Dec. 7 from 6-7 p.m.; and Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 10-11 a.m. Pre-K siblings may also attend.

Ho! Ho! Ho! Family Storytime with Santa and Mrs. Claus will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. This is a night for the whole family to enjoy together. Please register for this event.

Lego Club, for children in grades 1-4 will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 13 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. The library will supply the Legos, you bring your imagination. Space is limited and sign up is required for this popular program.

Small Fries for children ages 3 through kindergarten, is the library’s newest program. This story hour and cooking club will be held on Thursday, Dec. 14 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Sign up is necessary.

Finally, an after-school movie will be shown on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 3:30 p.m. Children ages 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult. Please sign up.
