LELAND - Parade entries are invited to join Leland’s 4th of July parade, which will take place on Sunday, July 4. Participants will begin lining up at 9 a.m. and the parade starts at 10 a.m. There is no parade entry fee. Please contact Mary at maryinleland@gmail.com for an entry form.

Food and other vendors start setting up at 4 p.m. behind Leland school. Music will be provided by Benny Davila of DJ Good BOY and 50/50 tickets will be sold. Fireworks will begin at dark.

Vendors are also invited to take part in the July 4 celebration from the late afternoon until dusk. The vendor table fee is $25; nonprofit group tables are free. Vendors will be set up behind Leland school. Please contact Kim Nilles at (815) 495-9233 or e-mail Kimnilles@aol.com with your information including name, business, e-mail and phone number.

On Saturday, July 3, the Leland Town and Country Association will have its Steak Fry from 4-6:30. p.m. Tickets are $20 and include steak, baked potato, corn on the cob, roll, dessert and water or lemonade. The 50/50 drawing will be held at 6 p.m. To purchase 50/50 tickets, please contact Mark Nilles at (815) 228-6190.
