DIXON - The Lee County Historical and Genealogical Society will present a program titled “American Patriots” at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 9 at the LCHGS Library, 113 S. Hennepin Ave. in Dixon. Laurie Perry, a DAR officer, will speak about the patriots that sacrificed their lives for the cause in the American Revolution.
Did your ancestors fight on the American side? Have you always believed your ancestor would not qualify as a Daughter of the American Revolution (DAR) Patriot because they did not fight in the war? Join us for a presentation that addresses the actions that can qualify your ancestor as a Patriot, whether or not they were warriors.
The library is completely accessible and ample parking is available across the street. There is no fee and the public is always welcome to attend.
