LA SALLE COUNTY - Real estate taxpayers of LaSalle County are reminded that the first installment of real estate taxes is due and payable on Friday, July 5. The second installment will be due on Thursday, Sept. 5. Tax bills were mailed on May 30.
To make a payment online using MasterCard, Discover, Visa or American Express, please see the instructions included with the tax bill. Credit card payments may also be made at the treasurer’s office in Ottawa. (A convenience fee of approximately 2.5 percent is charged by the credit card processors.)
For automatic withdrawal from a checking or savings account, go to www.lasallecountytreasurer.com to sign up. (A $1.50 parcel fee will be charged.) Please note, taxes will be withdrawn on the day before the due date.
Payment by check (payable to “LaSalle County Collector”) may be made at most LaSalle County banks/financial institutions or deposit checks in the drive-through drop box (24 hours) in the east parking lot of the Governmental Complex, 707 East Etna Rd., Ottawa. Checks may also be mailed to Treasurer’s Office, P.O. Box 1560, Ottawa, IL 61350 or dropped off inside Monday-Friday during business hours, however, there may be long lines.
