Maddy Pappas captured a win in No. 2 singles play, while the No. 2 doubles team of Natalie Orozco and Mary DeFore won two matches.

The Lady Trojans made the trip back to Sterling on Sept. 5 to take on Sterling High School and the result was a 5-0 loss to the Golden Warriors.

Mendota took third place in the four-team Coal City Tournament on Sept. 6. The host Coalers won the title and Princeton placed second. East Aurora finished in fourth place.
MHS’s doubles team of Orozco and DeFore won two of three matches, while the duo of Hannah Ambler and Rachel Brandner captured one match as did the team of Ashleigh Collins-Karen Perez.
