ROCKFORD – The Mendota track teams kept their busy schedule by competing in the Rockford Christian Invitational on April 20.
Eight girls’ teams participated in the meet and the Lady Trojans finished in sixth place with 71.5 points. Rockford Christian (120) beat out Harvest Christian (108) for the top spot.
Lydia Willis led the way for Mendota with a pair of first-place finishes. She topped the field in the discus with a measurement of 112-8 and claimed the shot put with a toss of 33-1.25.
Devin Wade placed second in the pole vault at 7-6.
Ten boys’ teams were in the meet and Mendota was eighth with 27 points. Rockford Christian blew away the competition with 225.5 points.
Mendota’s top finish went to Kevin Lewis, who took fourth in the discus at 117-11.
