MHS's Biers takes top prize in 300m hurdles

MENDOTA – The Mendota boys’ and girls’ track teams hosted the Mendota Coed Invitational on April 28 at the MHS track.

The Lady Trojans finished fifth out of seven teams with 63.5 points. LaSalle-Peru was the champion with 142 points. Mendota’s boys scored 18.5 points and finished in seventh place. L-P also won the boys’ title with 147.5 points.

Mari Biers had the best finish for the Lady Trojans, winning the 300-meter hurdles in a time of 49.06.

The MHS boys’ best showing was by Preston O’Sadnick in the 300-meter hurdles with a fourth-place finish in a time of 46.51 and Austin Lipe with a fourth-place effort in the 200-meter dash in a time of 24.87.
