Kish College to hold ‘Pink Zone’ breast cancer awareness event
MALTA – The Kishwaukee College Women’s Basketball Program is participating in the nationwide Women’s Basketball Coaches Association breast cancer awareness and fundraising event, Pink Zone, on Feb. 3 in the College gym. WBCA’s Pink Zone raises money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund for breast cancer research. The Kish College event will include several activities designed to create awareness and raise funds for breast cancer research.
The women’s and men’s basketball teams will play scheduled games against South Suburban College. Women’s tip-off time is 1 p.m. and men’s tip-off time is approximately 3 p.m. Fans wearing pink will be admitted for a $1 ticket price. During the women’s game, silent auction items will be open for bidding which will continue through half-time of the men’s game.
There will also be a 50/50 raffle during the game that will close at half-time of the men’s game. T-shirts will also be available for purchase. Cost of the shirts is $12.

KC announces Fall 2017 Deans List
MALTA – The Office of Student Services at Kishwaukee College has recently announced the students named to the Fall 2017 Deans List.
To be eligible for Dean’s List honors, a student must have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours (at the 100/200 level) during an academic term at Kish with a semester GPA (grade point average) of 3.50 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
Among the list of Kishwaukee College students named to the official Fall 2017 Dean’s List are the following local students:
