MALTA – Kishwaukee College men’s basketball invites area high school basketball players and coaches, basketball fans and the public to Kish Kougar Open Practice Saturday on Oct. 26 in the Kish Gym. Doors open at 10 a.m. and a college recruiting 101 discussion with players, staff and head coach Jay Moore will be from 12-1 p.m. Admission is free.
Attendees can watch and learn from the 2019-2020 men’s basketball team in practice as they run college plays and prepare for the upcoming season. The college recruiting 101 discussion is an opportunity for guests, especially area high school basketball players, to learn what college coaches look for in recruits as well as social media training for student athletes. Topics covered include the benefits and pitfalls of social media and what to be aware of when posting and researching on social media.
Seating is general admission and there is no ticket required to attend the open practice session. Attendees are encouraged to park in Lot E on the west side of campus and enter through door 40.
