MENDOTA - Kenneth C. Keeling, 68, of Mendota passed away May 9, 2019 at Loyola Medical Center, Maywood.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 15 at the Schwarz Funeral Home, Mendota with Rev. Peter Pilon officiating. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. on Tuesday, May 14 at the funeral home.
Ken was born Sept. 29, 1950 in Pana to Sidney and Pansy (Davis) Keeling. He married Mary A. Brown on Feb. 15, 1985 in Ottawa.
Survivors include his wife of Mendota; three sons, Ken Jr. (Kristina) Keeling of Birnamwood, Wis., Albert (Donna) Schrader Jr. of Colorado Springs, Colo. and Keith Keeling of Wausau, Wis.; five daughters, Catina Holdstein of Birnamwood, Wis., Nancy Schrader of Mendota, Christina Keeling of Wausau, Wis., Catrina Keeling of Wausau, Wis. and Peggy (Michael) Dilbeck of Mendota; 24 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Ann (Robert) Morrison of Aurora and Roxi (Johnny) Jarell of LaSalle.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two granddaughters, Candy Faye Holdstein and Hailey Keeling; and two brothers, William Keeling and Robert Keeling.
During his work career, he was a cooker for Mendota Ag Products and delivered papers for the LaSalle News-Tribune for many years. He volunteered for many years with the Mendota Emergency Services and Disaster Agency.
