KC Adult Education registration for Spring 2019 opens Dec. 11

MALTA – The Kishwaukee College Workforce and Continuing Education department is holding registration for Adult Education classes prior to the start of Spring Semester 2019. Registration dates start prior to the semester, beginning Tuesday, Dec. 11 and ending Thursday, Jan. 10, 2019. For a complete listing of registration dates visit www.kish.edu/wce. Learners should allot at least three hours for registration, orientation, and assessment. Registration for classes is free.

Adult Education includes High School Equivalency (HSE)/GED and English as a Second Language (ESL) classes. HSE/GED preparation classes prepare students for high school equivalency tests. Subject areas include reading, writing, social studies, science, math, and the Constitution with an emphasis on practical application and total development of the learner. ESL classes strengthen English reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills for employment, college, and student success. Instruction is provided for beginning, intermediate, and advanced level ESL learners.

On-campus registration will be held in room C1209. Dates are as follows: Tuesday, Dec. 11 from 12-8 p.m.; Wednesday, Dec. 12 from 12-8 p.m.; Monday, Dec. 17 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.;  and Thursday, Dec. 20 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
