LA SALLE - Karen C. Richards, 52, of LaSalle passed away Jan. 16, 2018 at Rockford Memorial Hospital.
Memorial services will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 23 at the Merritt Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Pilon officiating. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service.
Karen was born Sept. 8, 1965 in Ottawa to Kenneth and Marian (Glaser) Kerchner.
Survivors include one daughter, Meghann (Dan Morgan) Richards of Mendota; her longtime companion, Mike Bienemann; and one grandson, Triston Kenneth James Morgan.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Karen was a 1983 graduate of Mendota High School. She attended Joliet Catholic Academy and majored in industrial psychology and minored in marketing. She was a CNA and was general manager of the store, Off The Wall, in Peru Mall and was also district manager.
