MENDOTA – The Mendota Little Spikers Volleyball Camp will be held July 10-14 at Mendota High School. Camp will be divided into two sessions.
Session I will be for girls entering seventh and eighth grades, and will meet from 9-11 a.m. each day. This camp is designed to reinforce the basic fundamentals and rules of the game of volleyball. Skills include serving, receiving, passing and spiking. Skills will be taught and then used in a variety of skill-building methods, which include individual and team activities. Participation in actual team competition will occur.
Session II is for girls entering fourth, fifth and sixth grades and will meet from 1-3 p.m. each day. This camp is designed to teach the beginning player the basic fundamentals involved in the game of volleyball. Skills include serving, receiving, passing and spiking. Skills will be taught and then used in a variety of skill-building methods, which include individual and team activities.
The camp fee is $50 and includes a T-shirt in addition to instruction. Participants should bring knee pads and gym shoes to camp.
