EARLVILLE - Judith E. Hughes, 86, of Earlville passed away June 22, 2018 at her home in Earlville.
Memorial Mass will be held at noon on Tuesday, June 26 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, 221 West Union St., Earlville with Rev. Augustin Kassa officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to noon on June 26 at the church. Arrangements were entrusted to Hanley-Turner-Eighner Funeral Home in Earlville.
Judy was born Jan. 19, 1932 in Earlville to Hershel and Dora (Minard) Prater. She married Paul R. Hughes on Sept. 12, 1953 at St. Theresa Catholic Church, Earlville.
Survivors include her husband, “PR” Hughes of Earlville; one son, James (Sue) Hughes of Genoa; one daughter, Sheri (Bill) Carlson of Naperville; six grandchildren, Brandon, Tessa, Kathleen, Zachary, Galen and Ness; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Bonnie in infancy and Connie Hartman.
Judy graduated from Earlville High School with the class of 1949. She enjoyed reading, gardening and especially spending time with her family and friends.
