MENDOTA - Jose O. Mares, 44, passed away Oct. 19, 2018 at Rush Copley Medical Center, Aurora.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 24 at the Schwarz Funeral Home, Mendota. Services and burial will be private.
Jose was born Dec. 21, 1973 in Aurora to Cynthia M. Mares.
Survivors include his mother, Cynthia “Cindy” (Paul Trent Clark) Balderas of Aurora; his significant other, Mercedes Hermosillo of Mendota; two sons, Jose (Vanessa Herrera) Mares of Mendota and Ramon (Jasmine Guzman) Mares of Mendota; one daughter, Cecilia (Christina Padin) Mares of LaSalle; one brother, Shaun Clark of Aurora; two sisters, Shaine Balderas of Aurora and Shana Balderas-Constantino of Montgomery; and four grandchildren, Mateo Horine, Nova Rose Mares, Sophia Padin and Julie Padin.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents and two cousins, Crystal Avila and Ramon “Chucky” Mares.
During his work career, Jose was a CDL driver and worked for Mike’s Tree Trimming and Lawn Care.
