SPRING VALLEY - Joanne C. Lanham, 54, of rural Spring Valley died peacefully at home on July 8, 2018 surrounded by her family.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, July 14 at St. Hyacinth’s Church in LaSalle with the Very Rev. Paul Carlson and Rev. Gregory Jarzombek OSB officiating. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery in Mendota. Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. on Friday, July 13 at the Hurst Funeral Home, LaSalle with a wake service at 7 p.m. and from 9 a.m. until time of Mass on July 14.
Joanne was born Sept. 13, 1963, in Mendota, the sixth child of Jack and Marge Galloway. She married Keith Lanham in 1985.
Survivors include her loving husband of Spring Valley; one son, Jason Lanham; one daughter, Jamie Lanham; one grandson, Ronald Sartin; her mother, Marge Galloway; four brothers, Steve (Rose) Galloway, Bruce (Wanda) Galloway, David (Patricia) Galloway and Brian (Robin) Galloway; and five sisters, Julie Henkel, Jayne (Mory) Jaime, Carol (Ron) Karns, Susan (Mario) Data and Rachel (Kris) Sivak.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Joanne was a devoted wife to Keith, a proud mother of Jason and Jamie, and loving grandmother to her grandson, Ronald. She worked at Volk’s Tap in LaSalle for 12 years. She was generous, caring and gifted at creating space for people to connect. She went on to own and operate her own restaurant, Lunchbox Café in LaSalle, for the next 18 years. She loved spending time with her family, especially boating and camping. She had a green thumb and grew many beautiful plants and flowers in her home.
