NAPERVILLE - Janet V. Piccatto, 99, a longtime resident of Mendota, passed away peacefully March 31, 2019 at Meadowbrook Manor Nursing Home in Naperville.
Burial at Valley Memorial Park Cemetery in Spring Valley will be announced at a later date.
Janet was born July 31, 1919 in Chicago to Albert and Hattie Husa. She married James A. Piccatto on Nov. 28, 1936. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include one sister, Harriet Wasicki; one nephew, Paul (Linda) Wasicki; and two nieces, Christine Lansu and Carol (Kevin) Rhoney.
She was preceded in death by her husband; one sister, Genevieve Husa; one son, James R. Piccatto; and one brother, Raymond Husa.
Janet attended Roosevelt High School in Chicago. She was a longtime member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Mendota. Throughout her life, she enjoyed gardening, cooking, animals, music and square dancing.
