MENDOTA – Jane E. Dilbeck, 78, of Mendota, passed away Sunday, Jan. 8, 2023 at Heritage Health, Mendota surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 13, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. at Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille with Rev. David Jungnickel officiating. Burial is at Wisner Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 p.m. at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Jane was born Aug. 27, 1944 in Mendota to Melvin and Doris (Alshouse) Feik. She married Roger Cogdal and together they had two daughters Denise Cogdal and Cynthia Cogdal. He preceded in 2018. She married David Dilbeck on April 29, 1979 in LaMoille. He preceded in 2011.
She is survived by her daughters Denise (Roger) Walzer of LaMoille, Cynthia (Rodney) Rod of Arlington; her step-daughters Denise (Mike) Iwanicki of Batavia, Deborah (Don) Hill of Mesa, Ariz., Dawn Boucher of Miami Beach, Fla.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother Richard "Duke" Feik in 2004.
Jane was a 1962 alumni of LaMoille High School. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday School and was the church organist for over 25 years. While raising her daughter’s she was actively involved with the local youth as a 4-H leader and a bus driver for LaMoille Schools. She was a member of the Wisner Cemetery Board and the Waltham Curling Club. She was past owner of Dilly's Bar and Driving Range and she worked in retail business for many years including 12 years as manager of Family Dollar in Mendota.
