PERU - A simple noninvasive test can help determine a person’s risk for developing lung disease. That test will be among the free health screenings offered at Illinois Valley Community Hospital’s Pulmonary Health Fair on Wednesday, Sept. 12. The event will run from 1 until 3 p.m. in the IVCH room at Peru Mall.
The test, called a pulmonary function screening, measures lung capacity. Other tests offered at the fair at no charge will include blood pressure checks and pulse oximetry, which measures the amount of oxygen in your blood.
Members of the IVCH pulmonary rehabilitation staff along with a hospital pharmacist and dietitian will also be available for consultations.
