IVCC to host Ag Management Night

OGLESBY - University of Illinois Extension – Bureau, LaSalle, Marshall, Putnam Unit invites you to the upcoming Ag Management Night to be held at IVCC on Tuesday, Jan. 22, featuring two University specialists. The special program will take place in Room CTC 124 from 7 to 8:30 p.m.

Dr. Gary Schnitkey, Professor/Department of Agricultural and Consumer Economics - University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and Extension Specialist, will present a special program for landowners, operators and others interested to learn about the 2019 farm economic outlook and ag leasing options. Crop-share, cash rent and flexible leases will be covered as well as the farm economic outlook and cost centers. Price projections and returns to land will also be discussed. There will be time for questions and answers so bring your questions that evening.

Jonathan Coppess, University of Illinois, Director - Gardner Agriculture Policy Program from the Department of Agriculture & Consumer Economics, will cover an update on (expected) 2018 Farm Bill and program revisions; crop insurance options that reflect 2019 pricing and risks; and current conservation programs that can benefit bottom line for the producer.
