IVAC Business Breakfast to address the importance of customer service

PERU - The Illinois Valley Area Chamber of Commerce and Economic Development’s (IVAC) next Business Breakfast Seminar will discuss “Customer Service.” Join the discussion at 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 11 at Mario’s Maples in Peru.

Whatever the business, service is at the center of it. From company culture to guest interactions, the choices made day in and day out add up to create exceptional experiences for everyone involved. While some decisions are big, more often it is the “10¢ decisions” – the ones that have little cost but have a massive impact - that set the stage for remarkable customer service.

With decades of first-hand experience to draw from, customer service expert Laurie Guest will share her insights into making smart, effective choices to improve guest encounters and your business as a whole. Everyone will walk away with Guest’s “Simple Six Pack,” a suite of exclusive resources designed to improve business interactions overnight.

An entrepreneur, keynote speaker and author, Guest became known as a “go-to-resource” for customer service excellence during a successful career in the healthcare industry. She is a certified speaking professional, a designation held by less than 12 percent of speakers worldwide.

Guest lives in northern Illinois where she is a wife, mother of two, lover of board games and below-average cook.

The seminar will begin with a hot breakfast buffet served at 7:15 a.m. and the program will start at 7:30 a.m. Reservations must be made by calling (815) 223-0227 no later than noon on Tuesday, Dec. 10. The breakfast is open to the public.
