MENDOTA - How would you like to make a difference in the lives of others? Compassus Hospice is seeking caring, dedicated volunteers who would enjoy being a part of their hospice team. Those choosing to volunteer will do so in their own community, on a schedule to fit their availability.
Compassus offers a free training program, to provide volunteers with the information they will need to have a rewarding experience. Some volunteer activities include: patient and family visits, holding a hand, providing caregiver relief, reading to patients or playing music for them. The personal rewards are endless.
The Compassus office is located at 4371 Venture Drive, Suite 4373, Peru but care is available for patients in Bureau, Grundy, Kendall, LaSalle and Putnam counties. People with a caring heart who would like more information regarding this volunteer opportunity, please contact Sarah Gorman, volunteer coordinator, Compassus Hospice at (815) 220-1390.
