PRINCETON – In recognition of Women’s History Month the Bureau County Genealogical Society is inviting anyone in the public to attend the Thursday, March 22 regular monthly meeting of the Society and to tell of some woman in your family history that you would like to acknowledge. This sharing of stories or descriptions of admirable women will be the program for the meeting which will begin at 7 p.m. at the Society library at 629 S. Main St. in Princeton.
The character sketches or stories may exemplify tales of courage, independence, hardship, devotion, or any quality that the presenter chooses to feature. The seating arrangement for the audience will encourage a friendly exchange of stories. It is not expected that everyone in the audience will wish to speak. Please contact the program chairman Elaine Newell at gardenin45gal@gmail.com or leave a message for her at BCGS (815) 879-3133 or bureaucounty@gmail.com if you are willing to speak for less than 10 minutes. Perhaps you would also like to bring an artifact that pertains to the story of the woman.
