MENDOTA – Homecoming Week 2021 is scheduled for Sept. 27 to Oct. 2 at Mendota High School. This year’s theme is “Olympic Games in Trojan Town.”
The class Homecoming hallway decorating contest will begin on Friday, Sept. 24. Class hallways are aligned to the theme of Homecoming Week. Voting for the hallway class competitions will take place on Monday, Sept. 27 by Student Council judges.
The afternoon Homecoming assembly will take place on Monday, Sept. 27 outside at the athletic stadium. At this time, the Homecoming Royalty will be announced and fun games will be played.
The weekly Homecoming activities and dress-up days are as follows:
The Homecoming parade will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1. The parade route starts at Wisconsin Avenue south to Washington Street, east on Washington Street to Illinois Avenue, north on Illinois Avenue to Monroe Street, west on Monroe Street to Wisconsin Avenue, north on Wisconsin to its conclusion at the Sullivan’s Foods parking lot.
The Homecoming football game will kick off at 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 1 against Sherrard.
The week’s activities will conclude with the Homecoming Dance in the MHS back parking lot from 7-10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2.
