MENDOTA - Through its Miles for Education program, Walmart employees are eligible to donate to their children's school. This year, local Walmart Distribution Center drivers raised 12 cents per safe driving mile and the maximum amount toward the project. Selected to receive the donation was Holy Cross School in Mendota. Presenting the $2,000 check on Oct. 9, left to right, are Holly Christman and her granddaughter Avary Foltynewicz, pre-K; Tim Reppin, Walmart safety manager and his children Jase, pre-K and Ellye, 1st grade; and Olivia Frank, 1st grade. Avary's grandfather and Ellye's mother are also employees of Walmart. (Reporter photo by Jennifer Sommer)
