History of Lowell Park discussed

DIXON – If you are interested in local history, join the Lee County Historical and Genealogical Society at 7 p.m. on Monday, March 12 in the second floor conference room at KSB Hospital. Carol Schnaiter, Park Naturalist at the Ruth Edwards Nature Center at Lowell Park will talk about the history Lowell Park. Schnaiter is known to many from the 36 years she taught in Amboy schools. If you can remember swimming in the park or going down that huge slide sitting on wax paper on the hot summer days or picnicking in one of the stone shelters, please come and share some of your memories.
