Here’s what is happening in the children’s department at Graves-Hume Public Library 1-31-18

MENDOTA – The Graves-Hume Public Library will be hosting the following children’s activities during the month of February:

Shake, Rattle & Read, a story hour and playtime for children ages birth-2 with caregivers will be held on Thursday, Feb. 1 from 6-7 p.m. Morning sessions will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 13 and Tuesday, Feb. 27 from 10-11 a.m. Pre-K siblings are also welcome to attend. The hour includes songs, dancing, playtime, and fun!

A tween program for youth in grades 5-8 will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 7 from 3:30-5 p.m. Old-school board games is on the agenda. Sign up is required.

Lego Club for children in grades 1-4 will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 14 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. The library will supply the Legos, you bring your imagination. Due to limited space, sign up is required for this popular program.

Small Fries, a new program for children ages 3-K includes a story hour and cooking club. The program will be held on Thursday, Feb. 15 from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Sign up is necessary.

“Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul” will be this month’s After School Movie event set for Wednesday, Feb. 21 from 3:30-5 p.m. Please sign up. Children age 6 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

FunFamilyTime is themed “Princess and Superhero Night.” Join in the fun on Thursday, Feb. 22 from 6:30-7:30 p.m. Kids can wear their favorite costume. There will be fun activities for the entire family. Please sign up.
