Brooke Heiman, a sophomore at Paw Paw High School, plays basketball through a sports co-op with Indian Creek High School in Shabbona. On Feb. 2, she scored her 1,000th varsity point during a game against Hinckley-Big Rock. During that game, she also broke the school record by making 10 three-point baskets in a game. This year at Indian Creek she set the single season points record with 611 points and made the most free throws in a season with 194. Her overall average was 20.3 points per game (conference games was 24.1). She also averaged 3.2 assists per game and 6.4 rebounds per game. She was a unanimous Little 10 All Conference selection for this season. (Photo contributed)
