PRINCETON - Are you the type of person who loves to jump out and scare someone? If so, there is a position for you at Nightmare -the Haunted Attraction at Bureau County Fairgrounds in Princeton. A cast of scary characters is being sought to work at Nightmare this year. Zombies, ghouls, pirates and other haunted creatures are all welcome.
A cast meeting will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 18 at the Fairgrounds in Princeton for anyone interested in volunteering. Consent forms for parents of younger cast members to sign will be at the Fairgrounds. Please bring your costume and mask or ideas.
Nightmare begins on Saturday, Sept 25 and continues for 10 nights every Friday and Saturday night through Oct. 30 from 7 to 10 p.m. High school students can get service hours. They also need volunteers for non-scary roles such as helping with admissions or guiding groups from one building to another. To sign up, come to the meeting on Sept. 18 or for additional information call Guy at (815) 503-4161 after 5 p.m.
A Halloween Parade will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9 on Main Street in Princeton and they are looking for more participants. Following the parade, the Dancing Hocus Pocus Hags will perform at the Fairgrounds prior to that evening’s Nightmare opening. To sign up for the parade, send an e-mail to office@bureaucountyfair.com. Costumed characters, floats and musical groups are all welcome in the parade.
