OTTAWA - LaSalle County will pair with Vintage Tech (Kuusakoski Recycling) to offer a free electronic recycling event on Saturday, Oct. 7 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will be held at LaSalle County Government Center, 707 E Etna Rd., Ottawa. This event is open to all.
Accepted items include: computers and laptops, televisions and monitors, cables and cable boxes, cash registers, mobile electronic devices, computer peripherals, copiers, cords, DVD players and VCRs, hard drives, fax machines/scanners, video game consoles, blender bases, cameras, carpet sweepers, coffee makers without pot, curling irons, holiday lights, servers and UPS units.
Non-accepted items include: smoke detectors, ballasts, capacitors, Freon containing devices, gas cylinders, light bulbs, liquids and items containing liquids, household batteries, medical equipment, VHS cassettes, dishwashers, stoves, washers/dryers, e-cigarettes, microwaves, refrigerators, bare CRT glass tubes, and crushed CRT glass.
