LA MOILLE - Gladys M. (Schwingle) Van Norden, 83, of LaMoille passed away Nov. 6, 2019 at her home surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11 at Community United Methodist Church, LaMoille with Rev. David Jungnickel officiating. Burial will be at Greenfield Cemetery, LaMoille. Visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10 at the church. Lundquist-Merritt Funeral Home, LaMoille is handling arrangements.
Gladys was born Aug. 20, 1936 in LaMoille to Frank and Esther (Wade) Schultz.
Survivors include one daughter, Deborah (Bill) Bradley of LaMoille; two sons, Jim (Sue Wagner) Schwingle and Dave (Mary Anne) Schwingle, both of LaMoille; one sister, Audrey Barlow of LaMoille; 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband and the father of her children, Eugene Schwingle; her second husband, Leonard Ward; her third husband, Carol Van Norden; and one sister, Betty Oberschelp.
Gladys was a 1954 graduate of LaMoille High School. She worked as a waitress for several restaurants during her life, was a school bus driver for many years and was head cook at LaMoille Allen Grade School. She was a member of Community United Methodist Church and Mendota Elks Lodge.
