OTTAWA – The LaSalle County Genealogy Guild will meet on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. at the guild library, 115 Glover St., Ottawa. The feature speaker will be Ray Johnson.
Johnson will present, “Tips, Tricks, and Little-known Sources of Family History.”
Johnson was born in Chicago and currently resides in Brookfield. He is a former criminal investigator from DuPage County and has almost 30 years of genealogical experience.
After leaving law enforcement, he started Johnson Research Services where he conducts research for family historians, attorneys, governmental agencies, television production companies and authors. He has also published three books on Chicago’s history.
If you are hitting brick walls or just want to add new dimensions to the family history you already have, join the meeting for a look at some little-known sources of genealogical and historical information.
