MENDOTA - Germaine A. McGill, 93, of Mendota passed away Jan. 10, 2022 at Heritage Health, Mendota.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 13 at Holy Cross Church, Mendota with Father Peter Pilon officiating. Burial will be at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 14 at Queen of Heaven Cemetery, Hillside. Visitation will be from 9:30-11 a.m. on Jan. 13 at the Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota.
Germaine was born July 13, 1928 in Chicago to James and Mary (Slapak) Plotz. She married Alvin McGill on Nov. 19, 1949 in Cicero. He preceded her in death in 2007.
Survivors include one daughter, Janice Janowicz of Warrenville; two sons, Thomas McGill of Warrenville and James (Carol) McGill of Mendota; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and 3 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two sisters, Eleanore and Marion.
Germaine was a member of Holy Cross Church.
