PRINCETON – The Bureau County Genealogical Society will meet on Thursday, June 22 at 7 p.m. for its regular monthly meeting and program. The featured speaker will be Barb Benner, a lifelong resident of Peoria County. Her topic will be "Oral Interviews Reviews.” She will review the process of the oral interview, interactions along the way, and opportunities to obtain pieces to the ongoing ancestry puzzle. The public is invited to this free program at the Society library at 629 South Main Street in Princeton.
Benner has taught classes through the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Bradley University in Peoria. She is especially interested in genealogy and oral histories.
BCGS will be open on July 1 for the next First Saturday opening. These First Saturday openings of each month are especially designed for the working public who may not be able to research during the Society's normal hours of operation, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
