Nicor Gas and ComEd are partnering to clean up the area under the oversight of the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. Cleanup of the property began in November 2019 and the targeted conclusion is the fall of 2021. A majority of the work will be done in the parking lot, with some work planned in the adjacent creek. More detailed information about the project can be obtained online at https://mendotasite.info/about-the-site/ or by contacting Bernie Anderson of Nicor Gas at info@mendotasite.info or by calling (309) 261-4155.
