AMBOY ­— Gary D. Conderman, 72, of Amboy, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2018, in his home.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 – 8 p.m., on Friday, Feb. 16, 2018, and also on Saturday, Feb. 17 from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the Mihm-Jones Funeral Home in Amboy. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor Karen Berg, officiating. Military rites will be provided by the Amboy American Legion following the service. Cremation will follow with burial of cremains at a later date at Prairie Repose Cemetery in Amboy. 

Gary was born June 27, 1945, in Dixon, the son of Roy L. and Marcella A. (Bell) Conderman. He married Nancy Suddeth on Nov. 4, 1978, at Shabbona Congregational Church.

Survivors include his children, Rich Conderman, of Amboy, Barb Conderman, of Elizabeth, Steve (Wendy) Conderman, of Amboy, and Phil (Carrie) Conderman, of Sterling; and five grandchildren Elizabeth, Koty, Kristina, Hannah, and Hailey Conderman.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Eileen Conderman.

Gary was a lifelong farmer in the Amboy area, and had also worked for Motor Wheel in Mendota as well as Allied Locke Industries in Amboy prior to his retirement.

Gary was a Veteran of the Air Force during the Vietnam War.

He was a member of the Green River Saddle Club for over 20 years, and also a member of the Amboy American Legion.

Memorials have been established to the Amboy American Legion and Amboy Fire Department.
