Gabe was born July 29, 1987 in Peoria to Dennis and Bonnie (Meyer) Corrigan.

Survivors include his parents, Dennis and Bonnie Corrigan of East Peoria; and his sister, Whitney (John) Wiegand of Champaign.

Gabe graduated from East Peoria Community High School in 2007. He found enjoyment in all types of music and movies. He especially enjoyed watching car racing with his dad and was an avid fan of the Andy Griffith TV show.

Gabe was handed a life of insurmountable challenges since the day he was born. Each day he dealt with these obstacles with strength, courage and a whole lot of determination to make it through the day. He was able to find joy and laughter in each challenge that his disability presented to him. He radiated so much love to all the people he came in contact with and was loved dearly by so many. His family is so proud to have had Gabe as their son and brother. He will be profoundly missed and will be forever in their hearts.

Gabe was an organ and tissue donor. As a result of his kind heart, he will live on through recipients from Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donor Network.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tazewell County Resource Center, 21310 IL Rt. 9, Tremont, IL 61568.
