MENDOTA – The Mendota Quarterback Club will be sponsoring a public fundraising event on Friday, June 15. Each year the Club donates thousands of dollars to both the Mendota High Football and Mendota Youth Football programs and would appreciate your support. This is open to the public.

Join the Quarterback Club for its 18th Annual QB Club Golf Outing at the Mendota Golf Course. Cost is $100 per person with steak dinner. The four-person golf scramble starts with sign-in and lunch at 11:30 a.m. Tee time is 1 p.m., and dinner for golfers and the public begins at 5:30 p.m. The steak dinner and auction only is $20 per person. A memorabilia auction will begin at 6:30 p.m., with approximately 20 auction items up for bid.

Entertainment for the evening will be provided by “Big Uproar” starting at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Also, there will be many prizes on course for closest to the hole, longest drive, longest putt, etc., and a chance to win a new Jeep Cherokee with a hole-in-one (sponsored by Prescott Brothers).

Entry forms are available on-line at www.mendotaqbclub.com or at Mendota Golf Club.

A celebrity scheduled to appear this year is Marcus Robinson, former star wide receiver with the Chicago Bears. His career spanned from 1998-2006, the first five years with the Bears, followed by three years with the Minnesota Vikings and one year with the Baltimore Ravens. His career stats include 325 receptions, 43 touchdowns and 4,699 yards.
