MENDOTA - Fran Szott Carpet and Flooring of Peru is a Light of Hope sponsor of The American Cancer Society Relay For Life of Upper Illinois Valley "March To A Million" campaign.
"We had a specific need for a meaningful component of our event," said campaign chairperson Mitch Landgraf. "Fran promptly and generously committed to serve that need."
The donated products will be part of hand-made gifts of welcome and celebration to cancer survivors who register for the event. Survivors also receive a survivor T-shirt and dinner for themselves and one loved one/caregiver of their choice.
Fran Szott, owner of Fran Szott Carpet and Flooring of Peru, noted, "We are happy to support the March To A Million campaign, and honored to know that the products we donated will be part of the gift given to every registered cancer survivor at the Relay For Life event."
The campaign aims to break a cumulative total of $1 million raised by the 10th anniversary event in July of 2019. Donations may be made at www.1mil.org. Cancer survivors may register to be celebrated at the event at www.relayforlife.org/uivil.
