MENDOTA - Mendota High School 2018 graduates Marie Barnickel and Natalie Landgraf each received a $2,000 scholarship from First State Bank.
Barnickel and Landgraf were chosen from applicants who submitted packets containing selection criteria that included an essay, grade point averages, ACT scores, civic/extra curricular activities and personal references.
Barnickel plans to attend UW Platteville where she will major in agricultural business. Landgraf will be a student at Western Illinois University where she will major in business.
First State Bank, a Community Bank, whose headquarters is in Mendota, has 19 branches in North Central Illinois.
