PERU - Jonathon Bourell of Streator has been selected as the recipient of the Illinois Valley Community Hospital Foundation’s first Debbie Pyszka Memorial Nursing Scholarship. The award was established this year by the family of the late Debbie Pyszka, an IVCH nurse who died in 2017 after working at the hospital for 39 years.
This fall, Bourell will begin his second year in the Illinois Valley Community College nursing program.
