PRINCETON - Festival 56 will present three-part female vocal trio The Manhattan Dolls for two shows, “Sentimental Journey” on Oct. 22 and “Rockin’ with The Dolls” on Oct. 23.

“Sentimental Journey” is a heartfelt performance featuring music from the 30s and 40s in the close-harmony style of the Andrews Sisters. Travel back to the World War II era with songs like “Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy,” “In the Mood,” the Dolls’ famous “Military Salute” and other patriotic favorites. The show will take place at the Grace Theater in Princeton on Friday, Oct. 22 beginning at 7:30 p.m.

Prefer music of a different era? Check out The Manhattan Dolls “Rockin’ with The Dolls” featuring music of the 50s and 60s on Saturday, Oct. 23 at 7:30 p.m. at the Grace Theater.

The Manhattan Dolls are an international touring trio founded by and featuring Festival 56’s very own Heather Stricker, who played Victoria in The Business of Passion” (2005) and Princess Winifred inOnce Upon a Mattress” (2007).

The cast of The Manhattan Dolls “Sentimental Journey” includes Heather Stricker, Vanessa Helms and Chelsee Hicks. This production is sponsored by The Flats at Elm Place and is partially supported by a grant from The Illinois Arts Council Agency and The National Endowment for the Arts.
