DIXON - The Lee County Farm Bureau will host their annual Farmer’s Share Breakfast on Saturday, Feb. 24 at the Loveland Community Building in Dixon. The breakfast will be served from 8 to 11 a.m. and costs only $0.50 per plate - the actual “farm” value of the breakfast.
The Public Relations Committee will prepare the breakfast which includes pancakes, sausage, orange juice, milk and coffee.
The purpose of this breakfast is to help demonstrate the amount of income the average farmer would receive from a meal such as the one being prepared. On average, between breakfasts prepared at home and in a restaurant, the farmer receives $0.50.
The Lee County Farm Bureau’s mission is to be a positive voice for agriculture through leadership and education to improve the quality of life and economic well-being of its members and the community.
