PAW PAW - The Paw Paw LEO Club hosted their 6th Family Barn Dance at the Paw Paw School on Feb. 22 with the theme “Paw Paw Fire Department In All Its Glory.” This was a free, family evening thanks to the local churches and youth focused organizations that hosted food tables.

In addition to enjoying food, drink, music and dancing at the Barn Dance, this year the Leos organized a raffle to help the Paw Paw Fire Department purchase dress uniforms to be used for special events and funerals. To assist with the fundraising effort, the Lions Club offered to match donations of up to $1,250 during the event.

The total amount donated during the Barn Dance was $1,504, so by the end of the evening the Lions were able to present a check to the PPFD totaling $2,754.

LEO Club officers, left to right, Sammi Katschke, Shayne Prodzenski and Hannah Nitz sold raffle tickets for all of the baskets that were donated. Proceeds from the raffle were donated to the Paw Paw Fire Department.
