Rockford Christian topped the Mendota freshman-sophomore girls’ basketball team, 43-17, on Feb. 10 at Rockford.
The Lady Trojans found themselves staring up at a 15-2 deficit after the first quarter and trailed 23-10 at the half. Mendota mustered only seven second-half tallies.
Emily Stewart led the offense with five points, while Karly Reel and Reanna Brant provided four points apiece.

Byron posted a 50-17 triumph over Mendota on Feb. 12 at Byron.
The home team held an 11-6 lead at the end of one and then increased the margin to 28-10 at the break. As in the game before, the Lady Trojans only put up seven points in the second half.
Katie Jenner’s six points topped the Mendota scoring column, while Brant added four.
