ROCK FALLS - The signing of the Illinois hemp bill has provided opportunities for the cultivation, distribution and processing of hemp for fiber, grain and CBD. This versatile cash crop has the potential to empower small farmers and revitalize the farming communities.
Join Phillip Alberti, Extension Commercial Educator on Monday, Aug. 26 for an Intro to the Basics and Update on the Industrial Hemp Process. Topics will include types of hemp, production systems, licensing rules and regulations, value added product, and an update on hemp in Illinois.
The meeting will be held at the Rock Falls Community Building, 601 W 10th St. from 9 a.m.-noon. There is a $10 fee. Please register by Aug. 23 at go.illinois.edu/CLW.
