MENDOTA - Preparing meals for a family or friends often brings a sense of accomplishment. Eating alone or “just the two of us” can seem like a big effort for a small reward.
Instead of saying “why bother,” join University of Illinois Extension Nutrition and Wellness Educator Susan Glassman to learn some new ways to shop, prepare and enjoy meals on the smaller side. Her class, “Cooking for One or Two,” will offer some new ideas and attendees will be able to take home some recipes they will want to make. During the class, they will also enjoy a food demonstration and recipe tasting.
The class will take place from 12:30–1:30 p.m. at the Mendota Senior Center, 1901 Tom Merwin Drive, Mendota on Friday, May 18.
To register, please call University of Illinois Extension at (815) 224-0889 by May 16.
