Franklin Grove - The Nature Conservancy’s Nachusa Grasslands Preserve will present its annual Autumn on the Prairie Festival on Saturday, Sept. 16 from 10 a.m. until 5 p.m.  

The day’s activities will include 30 steward-guided tours of prairie and savannas, educational exhibits, butterfly hikes, self-guided prairie plant exploration hikes, and rides through the prairie to look for bison. Also featured that day will be local artists at work, a children’s tent and a live raptor display.

This event is free and open to the public. Oliver’s will be on site with food and beverages for purchase. The festival is held rain or shine.

Nachusa Grasslands Preserve is located three miles northwest of Franklin Grove at 2075 S Lowden Road. Directional signs will be posted.
