MENDOTA - Elvira Botello, 88, of Mendota passed away June 12, 2019 at OSF Saint Paul Medical Center, Mendota.
Services were held at 4 p.m. on June 15 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness, Peru. Merritt Funeral Home, Mendota assisted the family.
Elvira was born April 14, 1931 in Jalisco, Mexico to Salvador and Dominga (Sanchez) Espinoza.
Survivors include her children, Hector (Luz), Jesse (Graciela, Eloy (Carmen), Salvador (Maria Elena), Yolanda (Miguel), Agustina (Eriberto), Ismael (Rocio) and Alex (Josefina); 29 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Elivra was a devoted mother and grandmother. She changed the life of many people through her ministry work as her life revolved around her faith in God. Fashion was her passion. She was known for being the most hospitable person and enjoyed cooking for others. She taught her family to be humble and love unconditionally. She was known for her funny conversations. She worked hard to provide for her children as they were her greatest pride. She will be missed physically by all her family but will live eternally in their hearts.
