MENDOTA - Ellen “Jane” Lehning, 85, of Ladd died June 9, 2018 at the Mendota Lutheran Home.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Monday, June 18 at the Hurst Funeral Home, Ladd with Rev. Mike Slutz officiating. Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. until the time of services June 18 at the funeral home.
Jane was born March 11, 1933 in Fort Madison, Iowa to Leon and Eva (Gibb) Price. She married Harry P. Lehning on June 26, 1954 in Burlington, Iowa. He preceded her in death on April 12, 2018.
Survivors include two daughters, Kathy Lorenzi of Ladd and Ellen Lehning of Jamestown, N.Y.; one son, Mike (Traci) Lehning of Bourbonnais; and two grandchildren, Nicole and Marcus Lehning.
She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers, Donn and Robert Price.
Jane retired as a grade school classroom learning and disabilities teacher. She was an avid reader and enjoyed quilting, sewing, cross country skiing and canoeing.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Parkinson Foundation.
